Had to take care of a few things on here tonight however I am still on tumblr hiatus and probably will be for a long time. I don’t really see the point of watching my religion be mocked and being told that I believe in an imaginary friend, especially of that “imaginary friend” helped me through the absolute hardest moments of my life when NO ONE else could. But w.e. It’ll never go away. I don’t expect people to like every religion, I would just think that they would respect it enough to understand that some people in this world take it to heart and it means the world to them and it isn’t a joke. I mean, I wouldn’t go around calling legalizing gay marriage a joke, I know how much it means to people. Bashing Christianity is really dumb. People who don’t support gay marriage USE Christianity as an excuse for their reasoning. Don’t blame the religion, blame the people! I am a catholic and I support gay marriage. Its not the religion that’s the problem, its the people using it as an excuse. Why don’t you blame the people and not the group as a whole? Not every catholic or christian opposes gay marriage and when you trash their religion calling it fake and stupid and w.e. it is you say you aren’t just attacking the people who don’t support you, but the people who do support you. Believe it or not Christianity is full of many open minded loving people who welcome people in. Don’t be so quick to judge them as holy high rollers. At my church we had a remember Matthew Shepard Poster to remember to love everyone and that it is okay if you are gay. MANY churches are like this. Most of the church’s you see who bash gays are the extremists that make the news or show up on tumblr. As well on a side note, I am completely for it however keep in mind that most people were not raised to think as open minded and maybe have never been introduced to the idea of gay marriage and don’t understand how people feel about it. I can’t defend them and say that it is okay for them to be so against gay marriage, however you have to understand how these people were raised. They may be stubborn old people who really just don’t care about anything, you never know. At any rate, I turned a small note into a long paragraph about my thoughts which I didn’t want to do, but whatever. Basically, if you are going to get mad at someone, get mad at the people, get MAD at the people who raised them that way. Don’t get mad at the religion. I was in catechism my for 7 years and not ONCE was I EVER taught to hate or judge gay people (in fact I think one of my instructors WAS gay lol.) (So don’t pull the, “well religion raised them that way” card) You have to understand that people have different interpretations of the bible and of the teachings of God and sometimes they skew their teachings to fit in what they think. It’s not anyone’s fault but their own for doing such things and yeah, it sucks a lot. It’s much easier to mock religion and Christianity and to blame it as a whole and to treat it like a joke, but actually putting your attention towards the SPECIFIC people rather than the whole religion itself is MUCH harder, but is what should be done if you want to be fair. This is primarily targeted towards the very outspoken celebrities who of course will never read this. Trying to rap it up here sorry. Feel free to disagree with me entirely, you don’t have to respect what I am saying I am just sharing so kindly with the world where it is going wrong and why I am on a tumblr hiatus for awhile. But seeing your religion get bashed day after day gets old. Yes I am catholic, I believe in god even though I have never physically seen him. You don’t understand why people are religious so don’t judge them. I’m only posting this because I’m really annoyed and I’m tired of it. Stop spreading hate. That is all.
